SSC Racing Alpine Program
SSC’s Alpine Program of training & racing opportunities in the Alps are open to all club members with racing experience, and suitable for U10-U16 age groups. These training and British alpine racing opportunities are complemented by our existing domestic training weekends and race coach support at Cairngorm and other Scottish ski areas during the winter.

Easter Race Camp | Bormio, ITA

UPDATED 26/11/24: The GB Alpine champs program is confirmed. Place your deposit for this camp now! Bormio/Santa Caterina is high-altitude and great at Easter for training and racing.
Summer Indoor Camp | Snow Valley Peer, BEL

Indoor snow domes offer the most dependable & reliable training setup, with no weather considerations. The snow domes of Europe are geared up for international teams of all levels with maintained training lanes & team hotels set up for the classic summer ski camp atmosphere!

September Indoor Camp | TBC
Provisional dates:
Fri 19 – Mon 22 Sep 2025
We will take advantage of the September holiday weekend to get some indoor slalom training in before the season starts. This will be at one of the EU snowdomes close to the UK: Peer, BEL; Landgraaf, NED; Wittenburg, GER.
October Glacier Camp | Hintertux, AUT

Training Week 2: Sat 11 – Sat 18 Oct 2025
Autumn on the glaciers is the perfect time to kick-start the season with dedicated training time and no races. Hintertux offers the perfect pre-season environment for learning how to go faster, adjusting tactics and building strong technique. Plus, the valley is full of great spaces for afternoon fitness, and our team base supports ski tuning & video analysis.
November Indoor Camp | Snø Oslo, NOR

Fri 21 – Mon 24 Nov 2025
Keep the skiing skills fresh after the October camp ahead of the winter season. The modern and comprehensive snow dome in Oslo offers indoor training all year round, and supports clubs from around the world. This camp spans a long weekend, minimising time off school and maximising time on snow.
Pre-Christmas Camp | Geilo, NOR

Sat 13 – Sat 20 Dec 2025
We are hoping to attend the Aurora Cup races, put on by Excel Race Academy. Training in Norway at this time of year is an awesome experience, skiing right from the front door and under floodlights at dawn and dusk.
New Year Camp | Kaprun, AUT
Provisional dates:
Sun 28 Dec 2025 – Tue 06 Jan 2026
This is an ideal time for a young athlete’s first races overseas with ample training time in the days before the races to get warmed up, and then 4-5 days of racing at the Ambition Children’s Championships before heading back to school.
February Half-Term Camp | Kaprun, AUT
Provisional dates:
Training week: Sat 07 – Sat 14 Feb 2026
Race week: Sat 15 – Sat 21 Feb 2026
In February 2026, due to the alternative race calendar, we will head to our fantastic base in Kaprun and attend the “Nations Cup” races put on by Team Evolution and Snowsport England.

Subject to confirmation of GB children’s champs dates. Finish the season off with pre-race training and the British Alpine Children’s Championships, returning to Santa Caterina.
