SSC Racing Alpine Program
SSC’s Alpine Program of training & racing opportunities in the Alps are open to all club members with racing experience, and suitable for U10-U16 age groups. These training and British alpine racing opportunities are complemented by our existing domestic training weekends and race coach support at Cairngorm and other Scottish areas during the winter.

Winter 2024/25
Autumn half-term training in Hintertux, AUT and February half-term racing in Bormio, ITA form the core program, massively subsidised by the SSC Bursary funds and representing some of the best-value alpine camps around. The bursary supports athletes attending camps on a residential basis to experience alpine racing at its best.
New Year Camp | Kaprun, AUT
Sat 28 Dec 2024 – Mon 6 Jan 2025
UPDATED 26/11/24: ONLY 2 INLIER PLACES REMAINING! This camp features ample training time in the days before the races to prepare, then 4-5 days of racing at the Ambition Children’s Championships before heading back to school.
February Half-Term Camp | Bormio, ITA
Training Week: Sat 08 – Sat 15 Feb 2025
Race Week: Sat 15 – Sat 22 Feb 2025
The English Alpine champs are by far the best overseas British races of the season: stable weather, reliable snow and a full week of races.
Easter Race Camp | Bormio, ITA

Summer Indoor Camp | Snow Valley Peer, BEL

Indoor snow domes offer the most dependable & reliable training setup, with no weather considerations. The snow domes of Europe are geared up for international teams of all levels with maintained training lanes & team hotels set up for the classic summer ski camp atmosphere!

October Glacier Camp | Hintertux, AUT

Autumn on the glaciers is the perfect time to kick-start the season with dedicated training time and no races. Hintertux offers the perfect pre-season environment for learning how to go faster, adjusting tactics and building strong technique. Plus, the valley is full of great spaces for afternoon fitness, and our team base supports ski tuning & video analysis.
November Indoor Camp | Snø Oslo, NOR

Keep the skiing skills fresh after the October camp ahead of the winter season. The modern and comprehensive snow dome in Oslo offers indoor training all year round, and supports clubs from around the world. This camp spans a long weekend, minimising time off school and maximising time on snow.

This is an ideal time for a young athlete’s first races overseas with ample training time in the days before the races to get warmed up, and then 4 days of racing at the Ambition Children’s Championships before heading back to school.

Spend the winter half-term getting the best possible training & racing of the season. Sun, cold winter snow, and the much-loved English Alpine Championships BASS/Minis races.
